Nutrition

A nutritionist provides valuable information to patients who want to choose better dietary habits. A nutritionist can create individualized meal plans for people to improve their eating habits and the number of calories they consume. The typical salary for a nutritionist is anywhere from $31,000 to $71,000.

Physicians

Physicians who work in the public health sector have a varying salary depending on their level. Entry-level physicians will typically make about $80,000 a year. Doctors who are in the middle of their career and have practiced for about 10 years will make about $150,000. Physicians who are at the senior level and have been practicing for over 15 years will make at least $200,000 a year.

Nurses

For a counselor who is working at a public university, his or her salary will be from $40,000 to $50,000.

Epidemiologists

An epidemiologist makes between $70,000 to $90,000 in the public health field. An epidemiologist focuses on research and figuring out ways to support different health initiatives. An epidemiologist typically works for a public university and does research for a medical team.

X-Ray Technician

An X-Ray technician typically makes $40,000 to $60,000 in the public health field. A qualified X-Ray technician may also make upwards of $70,000. This type of X-Ray technician is likely a director of other technicians in the public health field.
